I felt like all the puzzle came in to pieces when I finally set my eyes on this movie… I mean, this movie just makes my heart sing “never say never… I will love your forever”, seriously I came to love it from the plot, the characters, the effects and the music… all falls into place.
Allow me to give my opinion in this one great epic movie of 2011 (since we’ll never know what lies ahead in 2012) in some areas.
Characters:
Abbie Cornish as Sweet Pea - The star of the cabaret where baby doll offered her ultimate sacrifice Jena Malone as Rocket – Sweet Pea’s younger sis who died believing freedom is at hand Vanessa Hudgens as Blondi (she can pull out some kickass fight.. see) the traitor? Jamie Chung as Amber – by far the hottest, I guess (hotness is relative guys) Jon Hamm as the Doctor/The High Roller – I love his eye liner =) Scott Glenn as The Wise Man/The General/The Bus Driver – he is just simply --- everywhere
The characters are similar to Claymore a manga series by Norihiro Yagi, since in terms of violence they are pretty much alike without the passive approach. Baby doll in particular is my favorite (not just because she’s the heroin) just because her weapon a katana is the best legendary weapon used by Kensin (my love). Also, this added 100 plus points bonus for making her ultra hot ehem.. however, pls excuse her dancing in wonderland. I cannot comment on that - cos I NEVER SAW IT.
Effects:
What more can I ask for? Effects is just blessed with awesomeness. From the samurai world to the medieval world, world war 2, alien world… everything.. has its own twist of sweetness and crouching kickass fight scene… makes me feel OoOOh yeah!
The effects are heavily structured, one can tell details are intricately developed which in turn became so impressive. This works for me because I am a true blue anime fan. This movie's visual effects was just so much =) I fell in love with it. I can compare the effects of Sucker Punch to FF Advent Children. I know there are a lot of digital movies you may want to compare it to -----whichever is close to your heart.. go!
Plot
The story technically revolves around an orphan Baby Doll who was accused of murdering her sister. Her life became so unfortunate in the hands of her gold digger step father who dumped her in Lennox asylum where she was first labeled competition by the rest of the girls who soon became her sidekick fighting cheerleaders.
The effects came when Baby doll imagines things that would help her divert her realistic intentions from surreal approach. Confused? Me too!
Well, when a plan is up, she imagines things to where she feels she’s fighting with dragons and armies of the Tokugawa era to technically escape the present but eventually wins the fight over both from her surreal world and her reality.
Their main goal is to escape from the asylum but first must collect 5 items to manifest the plan.. so there was the fight scene from Baby doll’s wonderland
Music
I was so impressed with the collection of music, it’s like the total equivalent of the mini movie from where online game base the history of every fight. The music in my opinion was picked perfectly… it makes me feel I’m watching the trailer when I’m already watching the movie – it keeps peoples arousal stacked up in the moment. People technically wants to watch trailer, let’s admit it, it’s what keeps us excited and this movie makes me feel that way

Acting:
I don’t think I can give much comment on acting since all they technically do is kick some ass and acting was not really emphasized. The acting was totally eaten by the action thingy but then again.. Vanessa was great in her breakthrough from HSM she proves she can be a real bitch (in this its movie).

Well, I know that this blog may be a bit biased (it is actually - can’t help it) since I may have pointed out too many good things in here but pls feel free to comment about what you think too.. I would just want to express how impress I am with this since filmmakers at this time is not really making movies similar to Charlie’s Angels, Naked Weapon and So close
